With her culinary skills as a qualified chef, Lisa, the founder of Knutsford Gourmet, has created a range of crackers, biscuits and lavosh which pair perfectly with a variety of cheeses. Renowned for their distinctive flavour profiles, Knutsford Gourmet crackers are highly regarded for their exceptional quality. Each product in their range is handcrafted in small batches, ensuring every piece is unique.

Transitioning from cellophane sleeves, Knutsford Gourmet wanted to elevate their packaging to thoughtfully designed cardboard boxes. Their goal - reduce product breakages, simplify shipping, extend product shelf-life and strengthen their brand presence.

While the cellophane sleeves allowed consumers to see the quality of their products - the challenge was to design new packaging which preserved this visual appeal, highlighting the artisanal quality of the crackers, their unique flavour profiles as well as the size and number of pieces in each box.

With a focus on capturing the individual artistry behind the cracker flavours, the new packaging celebrates the traditional skills, dedication to quality and finesse required to make these gourmet treats. The lavosh, is hand shaped as one long stretched piece and is irreguarly cut by hand. The packaging design wraps six of these shapes as images of the lavosh around the box, demonstrating their size and variety. While the biscuits and crackers feature a side profile on the packaging, each stacked clearly indicating the number of pieces inside.

Each cracker, biscuit and lavosh is carefully hand shaped and sprinkled with their namesake’s signature ingredients - this has been replicated across the packaging to ensure it is visibly stunning as well as emphasising the care and craftsmanship involved.

Having used a colour range with a signature hue, the suite of boxes clearly define the unique character of each product. Warm charcoal grey interiors keep the treats fresh and crisp, while the fully recyclable boxes offer more durability, plus the packaging blocks enhance Knutsford Gourmet’s brand presence on the shelf offering versatile options. The result - packaging that is as visually stunning as the gourmet treats inside.
