Christmas gifting made special with Dessein CoLabs
That feeling you get when you know the gift you’re giving is genuinely loved
That’s how I’m feeling right now. Joyous. We have successfully launched four CoLabs with four of Dessein’s clients, just in time for Christmas. Four unique bon bons, thoughtfully created to make Christmas gifting that little bit more special.
Each brand is successful, quite simply because of the genuine passion behind what they make. It’s easy to see. It’s in their premium products, their customer service and the joy they take in engaging with their customers.
We saw an opportunity to bring these products into Christmas gifting in a new way and approached each brand with the idea. They brought their products and passion; we brought our design thinking and created the bon bon packaging. Together, we’ve made something none of us would have brought to life on our own.
You may call them Christmas crackers, we prefer the French term bon bon. No crack or corny joke, just a gentle twist to open and reveal your premium gift.
Christmas is a time for family, celebration and gifting, but so much of what’s on offer is throwaway, or feels the same familiar gift chosen year after year.
We wanted to create something people would be delighted to give and equally delighted to receive. Each of these brands puts care into what it makes. Our role was to bring that same care to the packaging and the experience of opening it.
Luxury Christmas gifting, without the luxury price tag. Christmas gifts with real value that our family, friends and work colleagues will truly appreciate.
Luxury usually comes with a hefty price tag, but at $20 to $35, these little gifts offer something special without a big spend. And if your gift is truly appreciated, that is, in my mind, money well spent.
$20 will buy you an ornately decorated, gold foiled bon bon with four Christmas-inspired flavours of artisan marshmallow from Cloudy Confections.
For just $5 more, a $25 bon bon filled with milk chocolate or caramel-coated macadamias from Morish Nuts will keep dads, brothers, coaches and teachers reaching for more. Quite simply because they’re very Morish!
Lovers of genuine Italian nougat will rejoice in a Mondo Nougat bon bon, in either festive green or red, adorned with luxurious gold foil. At $25 each, they bring a little festive sparkle to the Christmas table and the pleasure of a gift waiting at every place setting.
Special mums, sisters, teachers and anyone seeking some calm following the chaos of the silly season will appreciate the Wattle & Wax mini duo candles, on offer for just $35. Each bon bon contains two matching Shark Bay shell candles in your choice of four signature scents. The rose gold foil details make them a pleasure to give, and the candles are just the remedy we’ll all need after the big day. (Note to self: buy one for myself).
Four bon bon brands, luxuriously presented with every designer’s favourite embellishment - foil. These little bon bons will make Christmas gifting feel special again.
In my Coming Together blog, I wrote about the opportunity that exists when we bring the right people and ideas together. Seeing these four CoLabs come to life has made that belief all the more rewarding.
Each brand has a very limited quantity available, with these limited-edition Christmas bon bons offered directly and through just a few selected retail outlets for Christmas 2026.
