Developing a promotional sales piece for PERCIVAL PRINT & PACKAGING, required a unique package solution to showcase the traditional values and the modern printing techniques of this award-winning printer to prospective clients.
To highlight the full capacity of their craftsmanship, the illusion of a traditional bound book forms the outer package. Opening the cover reveals a secondary booklet placed within what appears to be the pages of the bound book. Removing the booklet reveals a tissue wrapped package sealed with a gold foil sticker. Unwrapping the tissue uncovers a collection of seven coasters - each individually numbered to represent a code of values and services offered by the company.
The accompanying booklet mirrors the codes of the coasters and introduces prospective clients to the company by focussing on print specifically for packaging.
Using colour schemes derived from nature’s palette, turning them into produce and then presenting as packaged goods to represent each code, the booklet playfully explores the possibilities of package design and demonstrates what can be achieved through the print process by working with colour, die-cutting and embellishments.
